Minor Storm 28
The Water Year 2016’s tenth stable air regime has declined in size and strength a bit and storm activity is back, starting with this 28th minor or weak storm. It is a Pacific cold front for the “State of Jefferson” part of Northern California and the rest of the Pacific Northwest. The storm approached from a southwesterly direction, originating out of the waters between California and Hawaii. This is intriguing! Southwesterly is potentially a very wet direction if this weather pattern were to strengthen. NWS Sacramento says this is the first of a pair of similar storms.
