Cold Roses – 2005 rock album by Ryan Adams

Cold Roses – Ryan Adams | AllMusic.

This record came out in 2005, but I’ve just discovered it and the artist who recorded it. SCREAMING GOOD! Genre: Alternative Country Rock, I guess. A set of tough-n-tender Americana-like country rock ballad-rock-country sorta genre he does, almost Springsteen-Niel Young-Counting Crows-David Byrne-Little Willies-Miami Vice kind of sound, but forget trying to describe what a cool record this is by genre or sound alone.

Strike the Miami Vice reference. The song set ended and the next record was a synthpop record! A not very good one. Anyway, back to the review…

Believe it or not, Ryan Adams has fans that have been very DISAPPOINTED with him, because his debut album, “Heartbreaker” was DA BOMB and every record from him since sucks by comparison, according to those who are disappointed with him. So maybe it’s a good thing this is my first Ryan Adams CD.
