Storm #28 and #29 – Mavericks International Surf Contest at Pillar Point, Half Moon Bay, Calif., a Go!! — 24 Elite Surfers, one submerged reef, 50 foot high waves!!

Storm 28 I normally would not have noticed these storms, but they are riding a long wild line of storms hitting the Pacific Northwest, but sending MONSTER WAVES California way, to Half Moon Bay, California, to the Mavericks Surf Contest, where the Mount Everest of surfing waves will come to life. It is a patch of offshore waters 1/2 miles offshore next to Pillar Point, where, just underneath, lies a reef! As waves go over it during great surf like that which is hitting the shore Saturday, 50 foot high waves emerge from the sea.
There IS a chance the waves will not materialize! I notice on the ocean surface scan, the PURPLE PART has been getting smaller – meaning the wave activity core is losing energy.
